45th Annual Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Western Art Show

The Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Western Art Show & Sale is proud to celebrate its 45^th Annual Show, running from July 17 to August 10, 2025, at the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum. One of the premier Western art events in the country, this beloved tradition brings together artists, collectors, and patrons to honor the enduring spirit of the American West through fine art.
The celebration begins with an Opening Reception on July 17, offering attendees an exclusive first look at the artwork on display for the 2025 CFD Western Art Show. The evening includes a cocktail reception at the Wyoming Governor’s Mansion, and dinner at the Museum. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with artists and fellow art lovers during this elegant kickoff event.
This year’s exhibit will feature over 50 renowned Western artists, showcasing over 200 original works including paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and drawings. The Museum is especially excited to welcome eight new artists to make their debut in this long-standing show.
As an added feature, we are partnering with Greeley Hat Works, one of the top American makers of Western headwear, to bring you a custom hat-making experience. They are creating a limited Collector’s Edition hat celebrating 45 years of the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Western Art Show & Sale, with 45 of these signature hats available for purchase.
Since its inception in 1981, the CFD Western Art Show has raised over $3 million in support of the Museum’s art, education programs, exhibits, collections care, and general operations. This year’s proceeds will continue to sustain the Museum’s mission to preserve and share the heritage of the American West as experienced through the celebration of Cheyenne Frontier Days™.
