Helping Parents Who Care Become Parents Who Lead! To lead means to have influence. By definition, a parent is a leader. The Parent Leadership Training Institute of Laramie County empowers parents to fulfill their hidden potential as community leaders. With a curriculum offering leadership skills, public speaking skills, and teaching the process of government and civic engagement, PLTI parents become positive change agents for children. The Parent Leadership Training Institute enables anyone to become leading advocates for children. The PLTI teaches caring adults how to become practiced change agents for the next generation. The cornerstones of PLTI are: respect, validation, and the belief that when the tools of democracy are understood, parents will actively enter civic life. Parent Leadership Training Institute is a free 20-week course designed to build civic engagement and leadership skills. A meal and childcare are provided each night during the class free of charge. Parents are encouraged and supported while creating their community project. Join us to learn about how anyone can become an advocate for children and their community.
