These courses are offered for free through the OSHA Harwood Grant program. Chemical hazards are a leading cause of occupational illness and injury across industries such as manufacturing, construction, warehousing, and healthcare. This instructor-led, interactive course provides practical training on identifying chemical hazards, understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labeling, and preventing harmful exposures through effective controls and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Designed especially for small and medium-sized businesses and vulnerable worker populations, the course emphasizes clear, accessible instruction and real-world application. Participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to reduce chemical-related risks, strengthen OSHA compliance, and promote safer, healthier workplaces.
