The 2024 Cheyenne Farmer’s Market is just around the corner!  The Cheyenne Farmer’s Market is the annual fundraiser for Community Action of Laramie County, whose mission is simple; to reduce poverty in Wyoming counties. 
Not only is the Cheyenne Farmer’s Market a fundraiser for Community Action of Laramie County, but it is also an extension of our mission. Every day we help struggling families obtain stable housing in our Transitional Housing program and provide dedicated case management through Project Hope. We help grandparents who are raising younger kin with supportive services and assist in navigating the process of guardianship through our Kinship Program. We assist homeless veterans with temporary housing through our Veteran Housing Services. We ensure that seniors can remain in their homes with help from the Wyoming In-Home Services Program. Every day, we help our most vulnerable neighbors walk the path towards self-sufficiency and independence. For over 30 years, the Cheyenne Farmer’s Market has been a highly anticipated annual event in Cheyenne which has grown over the years, bringing regional vendors and craftsmen to our community. In 2023, we served nearly 33,000 people in the 10 weeks from mid-August to mid-October and generated nearly $490,000 in revenue for our community. We partnered with Needs, Inc., Family Promise and the Senior Center to distribute over $12,000 in market tokens to low-income families and individuals and worked with local organizations to help eliminate food insecurity. We had over 55 vendors selling farm fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit, beef, pork, breads, salsa, sauces and more.
