A group of eleven women artists from Lander created this traveling exhibit. Each artist explores how we need, receive and provide nourishment on many levels, including physical, mental and spiritual. The artists believe that their concept is relevant today especially in light of what they feel are the “overwhelming amount of choices and information available.” They note that how people choose to nourish themselves as well as others can also have “far-reaching impacts.” The exhibit, which contains a variety of paintings, original prints, sculpture, ceramics and assemblage pieces, shows a number of different interpretations for the concept of nourishment.
“Give/Take” features the works of Dannine Donaho, Lisa Hueneke, Virginia Moore, Tonya Pepper, Jodie Atherton, Kristin Vogel, Sally Watt, Anne Austin, Matlynn Snodgrass, Magdalene Kanengieter and Cristin Zimme.
“Give/Take” is funded in part by the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund. (All Ages; Laramie County Library)
