The committee will hear from First Lieutenant Lee Alley, Wyoming native and graduate of the University of Wyoming. He will share the importance of community support of our military and how when the military has support of the community it makes a huge difference to all military members.
He deployed to Vietnam in 1967 as an Armor Lieutenant in the 9th Infantry Division. His list of military decorations include: The Distinguished Service Cross, The Soldiers Medal, the Silver Star, The Bronze Star, 2 Air Medals, 2 Purple Hearts, and The Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He was also nominated for our nation?s highest award ? the Medal of Honor.
His book, "Back from War - A Quest of Life After Death," has been used by countless Veterans and their families to better understand how they can adjust to life after serving in combat.
Lt. Alley previously served as the Chairman of the Wyoming Veterans Commission, continues his service with them and has been active in real estate and agriculture.
