MSgt Andy Cayer - grew up in West Palm Beach, Fla., raised by his two French-Canadian parents, Jean-Yves and Diane. He has a sister Julie, a half-brother Steve, half-sister Valerie, and step-sister Jen.
He entered the Air Force in November of 1999, serving proudly for 19 years. He is currently the Non-
commissioned Officer in Charge of Operations for the 90th Security Forces Squadron.
In his current position, he leads 200 personnel who execute securing the largest operational missile wing
in Air Force Global Strike Command with resources valued in excess of $2.9B. Sergeant Cayer’s section is
comprised of executing, weapon storage area security, law and order, training, and military working dog
operations.
Master Sergeant Cayer’s other assignments include being stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla; Kleine
Brogel Air Base, Belgium; and twice at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. and Osan Air Base, in the Republic of
Korea. He has also deployed to Iraq, in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION
INHERENT RESOLVE.
Master Sergeant Cayer has a son named Henri. Master Sergeant Cayer graduated from Bellevue University in Nebraska with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, and a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma.
SrA Amanda McKnight was born in Sacramento, Calif., the oldest of 10 children – 3 girls and 7 boys.
Her family has been in the US for three – four generations, with her ancestors emigrating from Spain
and Italy. Her family takes great pride in military service, and she is the second in her family to serve in
the Air Force and the first in Security Forces. She has served for the last three and a half years in the
Missile Security Forces in the nuclear missile complex.
She will hit her four year mark in July, and she recently deployed in support of Operation Inherent
Resolve in Iraq.
