# MURDER ON THE WHISKEY JUNCTION EXPRESS ## A Wild West Murder Mystery Event *All aboard for a night of mystery, suspense, and frontier justice!* --- ### THE SCENE The year is 1885. The Whiskey Junction Express is rumbling through the rugged terrain of the untamed West, headed for the notorious town of Whiskey Junction—where the liquor flows fast and the bullets fly faster. The passenger car is filled with colorful characters: grizzled prospectors clutching maps to their claims, a prim schoolmarm nervously headed to her new position, thirsty cowpunchers already trading stories about the famed WJ Saloon, and a group of saloon dancers entertaining fellow travelers with impromptu performances in the aisle. Among them sits Prunella Persimmon Potter, the town's self-appointed moral guardian and newly appointed banker. Known throughout the territory for her crusade against "sinful establishments," Potter has vowed to clean up Whiskey Junction—starting with shutting down its beloved saloon. ### THE CRIME As the train rocks along the mountainside, masked robbers suddenly appear at the end of the car, brandishing pistols and demanding valuables. "Stick 'em up!" they growl, as passengers reluctantly raise their hands. All except Miss Potter. She rises dramatically to her feet, her face flushed with righteous indignation. "This is precisely the sort of lawless behavior I intend to eliminate from our territory! I shall personally ensure that each of you ruffians—" Her tirade is cut short as the train plunges into a long, dark tunnel. The passengers hear her continuing to rant in the darkness, but her voice is suddenly silenced by a single, echoing GUNSHOT! When the train emerges into the sunlight seconds later, Prunella Persimmon Potter lies dead in the aisle, a look of permanent surprise frozen on her face. The robbers are nowhere to be seen. ### THE MYSTERY Was Potter killed by the bandits? Or did someone take advantage of the momentary darkness to eliminate a troublesome reformer? The prospectors fear she discovered their claim-jumping scheme. The saloon owner dreads her temperance campaign. The schoolmarm inherits Potter's position at the bank. The dancers worry about losing their livelihood. Even the train conductor had gambling debts that Potter threatened to expose. **Everyone had a motive.** ### THE CHALLENGE As the train pulls into Whiskey Junction, a traveling detective steps aboard and declares that no one will leave until the murder is solved. As our special guests, you'll take on the roles of passengers, witnesses, and investigators. You'll examine the evidence, question the suspects, uncover secrets and lies, and work together to identify the true culprit among the cast of suspicious characters.
