October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI) has put together events around the state to raise awareness and raise funds for Wyoming breast cancer programs. Volunteers with WBCI have organized a statewide Plates for Pink Restaurant Week event. Each night of the week will feature a different local restaurant (Friday the 12th- Tuskers; Saturday the 13th- Freedom’s Edge & The Daily Press-; Monday the 15th- Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery; Tuesday the 16th- 2 Doors Down; Wednesday the 17th- Wing Shack; Thursday the 18th- Texas Roadhouse; and Friday the 19th- Drink for Pink Fundraiser at the CFD Buckle Club. The Rib & Chop House will be hosting the fundraiser all month- “Buy a Rack, Save a Rack.” Restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds from their evening event to WBCI. Funds are granted to breast cancer programs across the state.
