Summer Art Camp for Kids!
Summer Art Camp is coming soon and it's not too early to sign up. Enroll your young artist in one or more 5-day camps in June, July or August 2018. Camp runs from 1-3:30 and is only $109 per child! The children learn something new about art each day. Each day is exciting and different. The kids get a little messy from time to time - and we all know how fun that is. Wear play clothes!

Here is a general schedule for camp:
Monday - Pottery
- The kids will hand build a pottery piece out of clay. The piece will be fired and ready to glaze on Thursday.
Tuesday - Art Journals and Collage
- The kids will create their own art journals that can be used throughout the year. They will explore different techniques in drawing, painting and collage art.
Wednesday - Sculpture
- The kids will explore different sculptural techniques which may include paper, cardboard, and found objects.
Thursday- Painting
- After the kids glaze their pottery piece, they will move into the paint studio to create an acrylic painting on a 16x20" stretched cotton canvas using easels. They will also begin preparing for their Friday afternoon art show.
Friday - Mixed Media
- The kids will complete a mixed media art project. Then, it's time to set up and prepare for the grand finale of the week - their Art Show!
Friday- Art show; 3:15-3:30 pm
- Bring friends and family!
Each day includes art, music, ice breaker activities, refreshments and fun! Make sure the kids wear clothes they can get paint on!
Even though the kids learn about technical elements, the children are encouraged to be free spirits! There is no judgment about an artist's work in our studio. Our studio is a stress free zone - this isn't work - it's play!
