The Spring Event at Archer

The Event at Archer will run Dressage on May 29, Cross Country May 30 and Show jumping on June 1.  All will be held at the Fairgrounds at the Archer Complex. Saturday will be at the West end of Thunder Road (Archer Complex) at the Equestrian Area. Eventing could be termed an "equestrian triathlon." It involves working with a horse both on the flat and over fences. The three phases are: dressage, endurance (or cross-country), and show jumping. Over the centuries it has developed from the test of the ideal military charger into an Olympic Sport. Eventing has now evolved into an exciting sport attracting interest from all levels and ages of sports enthusiasts, from weekend hobby riders to professional international stars.
