North America continues to experience the highest drug-related mortality rate in the world, accounting for 1-in-4 drug-related deaths globally. August 31st is Overdose Awareness Day. We are featuring a FREE film series in Larimer and Weld counties. Together we will honor lost loved ones and to educate ourselves on addiction and what we can do to support those who struggle with it. In 2018, 543 people in Colorado died because of an opioid overdose, and opioid overdoses killed 47,600 Americans in 2017. Education is key. We hope you can join us. Sponsored by: North Colorado Health Alliance, Heath District of Northern Larimer County, Naloxone Champions, SummitStone Health Partners, North Range Behavioral Health, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, and Signal Behavioral Health Network.
