We are looking to expand our team, to ensure our guest receive the highest quality food possible. 
A Quality Control Food Specialist is responsible for ensuring that food products meet standards set forth by both Chick-fil-A and regulatory authorities. This job will review products for quality, taste of food and ensure all procedures pertaining to food safety policies are strictly adhered to.  Food Control Specialist will work with Shift Managers to ensure all Team Members are adequately trained and all equipment is functionally properly to ensure Chick-fil-A guest receive the safest and highest quality product possible. 
Job Duties of a Quality Control Food Specialist
This position will focus on Food Safety and Quality Control for a multi-million-dollar business including but not limited to:
As part of their daily duties, the Quality Control Food Specialist will perform evaluation (eRQA, eFSA, SAFE Daily Critical, etc.) as well as other evaluations deemed necessary on a daily basis. They will meet with other supervisors and inspect facilities for compliance with standards, determining methods to resolve any issues that arise. They may review customer feedback and respond to any complaints. Control Specialist will prepare reports and give communicate on food quality status to the owner/operator and team to ensure any infractions are deal with immediately.  They will keep records of all tests and inspections that have been conducted.  This individual must enjoy coaching Team Members as Food Safety or Quality issues arise.
Food quality assurance managers must be knowledgeable about all food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by government regulations. Common standards managers are expected to be familiar with include the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) management system required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the standards set by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI).
  • Learning Chick-fil-A (CFA) standards in all areas of the business, preform evaluations and inspections based on CFA standards, track, analyzing data and provide reports of findings.
  • Food Safety - work with the local health department, Steritech and CFA food safety departments to ensure not just compliance but that best practices are established.
  • Learn a complete knowledge and understanding of key position in both FOH & BOH
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand & learn all menu items.
  • Preform Chick-fil-A SAFE Daily Critical, eFSA’s, eROA’s and eRSA’s inspections, etc.
  • Verify completion of all assessment tools daily.
  • Work with the local health department, Steritech and CFA food safety departments to ensure compliance and insure best practices are established.
  • Work closely with Shift Manager and Directors to insure violations are corrected immediately
  • Must be an effective coach, communicator and team builder
  • Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback as appropriate
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which include but is not limited to standing for an extended period of time and lifting to 25lbs.
  • Follow and teach safety and sanitation procedures. 
  • Follow Chick-fil-A’s operational policies and procedures. 
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements to Become a Quality Control Food Specialist
  • Associates Degree
  • ServSafe Certification required
  • Training in Food Safety
  • 3-4 years of BOH Restaurant Food Service Experience
  • Self-leader committed to personal growth; Mindset of continuous improvement

  • Availability to work various hours and shifts both days and nights
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
