Organization Overview
The Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI) is dedicated to increasing breast cancer awareness and prevention across Wyoming. Led by a volunteer board and multiple event committees, WBCI raises funds through events, grants, and donations, which are distributed annually to Wyoming-based breast cancer programs.
Position Overview
Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Cheyenne
Hours: 10-20 hours per week
Compensation: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant supports WBCI’s daily operations by providing essential administrative, communications, and scheduling support. This part-time role is ideal for an organized individual passionate about nonprofit work and breast cancer advocacy.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, including managing telephones, emails, scheduling, and document preparation.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and donor information.
- Assist in meeting and event coordination, logistics, and communication.
- Support fundraising efforts by assisting with donor correspondence and contribution tracking.
- Help manage social media and website updates.
- Process incoming inquiries and direct them accordingly.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, or event planning is a plus.
- Passion for WBCI’s mission and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
