Community Action of Laramie County, Inc. (CALC) is a trusted nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families build stability and achieve self-sufficiency. For more than 50 years, CALC has served Cheyenne and the surrounding region with compassionate, client-focused services that address health, housing, and essential needs.
CALC works to empower community members through strong partnerships, accessible resources, and personalized support. Its programs include the Crossroads Healthcare Clinic, offering medical and behavioral health services; Self-Sufficiency and Project Hope, which provide intensive case management; and Transitional and Veteran Housing programs that help individuals secure safe, stable living environments. CALC also offers Essential Support Services, including assistance with vital documents and vision care, along with In-Home Services that help older adults and individuals with disabilities maintain independence.
In addition, CALC hosts the annual Cheyenne Farmers Market, a community event that supports local growers while raising funds to further the organization’s mission.
Each year, CALC makes a meaningful impact by helping residents overcome barriers, build confidence, and move toward long-term stability.
