Rooted in Cheyenne is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to growing a healthier, greener, and more resilient Cheyenne—one street tree at a time. We believe trees are essential infrastructure: they cool our neighborhoods, improve air quality, strengthen ecosystems, and make our city more beautiful and livable for everyone.

Founded with a deep respect for Cheyenne’s unique climate, landscape, and community spirit, Rooted in Cheyenne works to plant, protect, and promote trees along city streets and in public spaces where they’re needed most. Our focus is on long-term impact, choosing the right trees for the right places and ensuring they thrive for generations to come.

But our mission goes beyond planting. We’re here to build connections—between neighbors, blocks, and the natural environment that sustains us. Through volunteer opportunities, partnerships, and education, we empower residents to take part in shaping a greener future and caring for the urban forest we all share.
