About Us
Samson Energy Company, LLC (''SEC'') was formed in December 2011 to continue the development and growth of the oil and gas assets retained by the Schusterman family following the sale of Samson Investment Company to an investor group led by KKR, after 40 years of profitable growth. SEC current oil and gas assets are located in Wyoming's DJ Basin.
SEC and its operating subsidiaries Samson Exploration, LLC and Samson Offshore, LLC are privately held energy companies with their headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma and an office in Golden, Colorado. The companies have a proven track record of using a collaborative team structure to quickly analyze and pursue promising opportunities.
SEC is well capitalized with very experienced exploration and development teams. This enables the Company to invest in its significant asset plays and further expand its portfolio of energy investments. The Company remains focused on providing a rewarding workplace for our employees, profitably growing its business, operating in a safe, environmentally responsible manner, working well with our lessors and surface owners, and giving back to the communities in which we operate.
